# How long does the 462 visa take, and what do I do after I'm approved?

## Typical wait times, and the next step once your visa comes through.

Many applicants are approved within a couple of weeks, and sometimes within days. We can't guarantee government processing times, though.

**Once you're approved, tell us.** We need to know before we can move ahead with processing your booking on the program.

**Then choose your start date.** Follow up with your InterExchange contact to pick a program start date. They'll help you coordinate the next phases of your trip.

We've seen almost no denials over the years, but approval is up to the Australian government.
